Business Challenge
To create a full-featured BlackBerry m-commence solution with a stylish interface and to port it to a wide range of
devices in order to provide the customer with maximum market coverage.
Software Solution
Axmor engineers delivered the target application to Blackberry phones, Java phones, Windows Mobile smart phones, and iPhone devices.
Users can now enjoy a classy and easy to use way of online shopping from their devices.
Using flexible search conditions including GPS location and the listings of favorites, the software allows a user to authorize and
retrieve a list of products. While adding products to the order, a user has the ability to specify the product’s quantity, size,
and properties. Then the user specifies preferred delivery and payment options, delivery address, and credit card information and
submits the order to the server. Once the order is executed, the user receives a notification in the application’s message box. The
solution delivered by Axmor developers allows a user to take advantage of the m-commerce shopping opportunities via a Blackberry device
very easily.
Key benefits:
Secure data transfer. The application uses HTTPS data transfer for communication with the server. All sensitive data is protected.
Software flexibility. The software allows the customer to customize the application’s user interface via a library of components. The
customer defines the application’s look and feel and the desired data is sent in the form of a XML document, which can be downloaded from the server.
Configurable workflow. The application requests workflow from the server, where it can be easily configured by the customer. This allows
for the creation of not only a product ordering application, but also of a number of corresponding additional services such as mobile questionnaires,
lotteries, checklists, advertisements and messaging applications.
Low traffic consumption. The use of XML lists and XML defined user interface allows for a reduction of network traffic compared to Web driven applications.
Pretty User Interface. Animated controls and backgrounds and intuitive navigation make the application very attractive and easy to use for end users.
Portability. The savvy application’s architecture allowed the BlackBerry developers to port the application to Java phones, Windows Mobile smart
phones, the iPhone, and to the Web with the least amount of porting efforts possible.
