Our customer specializes in delivering sophisticated software solutions for travelers. The customer’s new business venture
was to create easy to use expandable dictionary/ translator software that would help travelers "start speaking" foreign
languages during their journeys abroad. A traveler constructs a phrase in a native language via a set of predefined word
templates, after which the iPhone application pronounces the target phrase in a chosen foreign language.
The software operates with multiple foreign language sets, a huge variety of which can be easily downloaded from the customer’s
Web site. Each language has a range of situation-specific topics such as, "Hotel", "Airport", "Places of interest in Paris",
etc. with a set of the most widely used words and phrases specific to the given situation.
Software Solution
Axmor developers created a mobile solution that uses the iPhone to translate words and phrases into foreign languages and to pronounce
the translation. The software has appealing design and intuitive navigation, so even inexperienced iPhone users can start using it without
any prior training. The main features of the application are as follows:
- iPhone "speaking"
This function uses iPhone audio API to play pre-recorded audio files that contain translated words and phrases. A user can build custom
sentences from the available words and the application then plays corresponding files one by one, simulating human speech.

The software translation content is easily expandable. A user can select and download free languages and topics or buy custom packs from
the customer’s Web portal. No more language barriers for the application users!
