Business Challenge
Our client has launched a multi-year transformation program of its existing credit
card processing system. The business objective was to enhance current software application
to offer more competitive customer service to clients.
In order to allow company clients to programmatically define and remotely update
rules of business logic, our customer required a flexible system accessible through
the Internet, as well as from a private network.
The company has developed a proprietary software system that enables their clients
to manage a complete range of cardholder relationships. Its CRM application fully
coordinates the relationships with the cardholders, including credit card authorizations
and statement billing generation.
One of the challenges for our customer was to set up a reliable system providing
a secure Internet connection for transferring financial data.
Software Solution
Axmor Software developers provided a thorough consultation for the company IT department
regarding the possibilities of using electronic signatures and encryption. Based
on the customer business needs, Axmor experts chose to use IBM technologies and
products to deliver the target solution. We delivered the application that provides
secure connection and data transfer, and meets all customer requirements.
The required security level was achieved through the implementation of middleware
components. The information exchange between the client-side application and the
company's back-end systems is performed by using Web Services technologies (XML,
SOAP, WSDL). Using Web Services technologies ensures that the standards-based solution
is independent of programming language, data modeling, and operating systems.
The Java-based application enables users to build business
logic using a GUI interface. It interacts with back-end application components to
retrieve information and capture combinations of business rules that define customer
credit card processing behavior.
The customer was very satisfied with the work results delivered by Axmor Software.
The company received a highly reliable hack-resistant Web application that provides
security for processing center functions and financial data transfer.
