Business Challenge
To automate key business processes, cut administrative costs, and provide full process
transparency to management, the customer required a set up of a comprehensive SCM
system including marketing, pre-sales, order handling, and project management modules.
The customer also required that the target solution be integrated with an existing
CRM system.
Software Solution
Our customer, together with Axmor Software experts, developed an SCM system that
fully automates business processes across the entire supply chain:
- Receiving/ processing of an initial client request, discussing request requirements
- Searching for sub-contractors, assessing/ selecting suppliers for upcoming projects
- Project implementation
- Making payments to a supplier
As system scalability and reliability are critical for the customer, IBM WebSphere
Application Server and IBM DB2 were selected for project development. It is critical
that the customer’s system effectively supports a growing number of business transactions.
The system deployment allowed our customer to decrease sub-contractor relations
costs substantially, reduce the decision making cycle, and eliminate unnecessary
activities.
The system provides a centralized storage of project documentation, and supports
the entire "Client - Supplier Relations Department - Supplier" workflow.
It enables full transparency of business processes throughout the supply chain.
In addition, the system generates multiple types of reports: from supplier / client
information to financial statements relating to a project.
Today Axmor Software specialists continue to work on expanding the system's functions.
In particular, suppliers are now able to edit their profiles through the Internet.
The focus has been made on enhancing collaboration across all supply chain members.
