Business Challenge
Aprobrium Ltd. produces a suite of dictation management software products
for businesses of all sizes. The product suite is committed to streamlining document
workflow between managers and secretaries. The product allows managers to digitally
record, edit, prioritize and distribute a speech over a PC or network to a secretary
or a secretarial pool for further typing.
Today the workforce at most companies needs to be able to effectively work outside
the office and use any spare moment available. Recordings of speeches and deliveries
of messages to secretaries can be made while waiting for a flight or a meeting.
This is especially critical for mobile executives doing business in a highly competitive
and changeable environment, where business decisions should be made and brought
to the attention of their personnel very quickly.
Aprobrium Ltd decided to address this need by creating a mobile version of their
product first for PocketPC 2002 devices. Latter, they decided to
reach a broader audience through porting it to Windows Mobile Smartphones.

Software Solution
Axmor Software experts have successfully ported the dictation recording and editing
software functionality from PC to a PDA platform (Pocket PC 2002), and then to Windows
Mobile for Smartphones. The solution now enables its mobile users to do the following:
- Record and edit dictations
- Make notes about the dictation, such as speech priority, a secretary’s name processing
a file or other comments to a secretarial pool
- Deliver dictations in a digital audio format immediately via e-mail, upon the next
synchronization or through Wi-Fi connection
- Track status of dictation
This application turns a Pocket PC and a Smartphone into a powerful and portable
dictation device. By using mobile dictation application, managers can send orders,
instructions, memos, speeches and letters in a high-quality digital audio format
to a secretarial pool for transcribing from anywhere via Wi-Fi. This can be extremely
helpful not only to mobile executives, but also to specialists of other professions.
For example, doctors can use the dictation software to dictate notes in hospitals
or while visiting their patients.
