Business Challenge
The solution is intended to increase the productivity of outside sales forces, whose
products are installations and furnishings for homes, hotels, and office buildings.
In the past during customer visits, sales representatives had to manually fill in
sales orders on paper-based forms. This process was restrictive, time-consuming
and a source of error.
Infoglob required an automated collection process to equip sales forces with Pocket
PC devices, while requiring a Pocket PC-based custom application to automate order
management.
Software Solution
Axmor delivered the Pocket PC application in full accordance
with Infoglob’s requirements. The solution is a handy tool for a sales force to
create invoices during a client visit.

To create an invoice, a salesperson simply needs to compile a list of rooms and
allocate the installations, which can be different sizes and colors, according to
a room’s size.
This solution allows salespeople to:
- Create new orders and save orders to a Pocket PC device;
- Show order history for a client;
- Select a room type (bedroom, livingroom, kitchen, bathroom, etc);
- Select and allocate installations to specific rooms;
- Calculate price of sales items, input price discounts;
- Display sales order details;
- Calculate the total amount for a new order.
The solution was delivered using .Net Compact Framework, which provides the same
benefits as the .Net Framework, but is designed specifically for resource-constrained
PDA devices. Being experts in
.Net development
and
Pocket PC development, Axmor delivered the required solution rapidly and inexpensively.
